In response to SConns 'Dog Wisdom'

While I liked and enjoyed Sean's 'Dog Wisdom' post, being a cat lover, I couldn't let it pass without a response. So, here it is:

Do not meddle in the affairs of cats, for they are subtle and will piss on your computer.” Bruce Graham

“As every cat owner knows, nobody owns a cat.” Ellen Perry Berkeley

“Cats are rather delicate creatures and they are subject to a good many ailments, but I never heard of one who suffered from insomnia.” Joseph Wood

“People who hate cats will come back as mice in their next life.” Faith Resnick

I'm not a huge cat fan (mostly because I'm allergic - I like the animal, but they make my eyes puff up and get all teary), but these were funny.

Thanks for sharing, Maso!

A very true statement - they are addictive!

San Chonino,

Like you, I'm allergic to them. Same symptoms too. But I love 'em so much I put up with the allergy. The funny thing is, now that I've had my cat for over 10 years, she doesn't really affect me that way any more.

Doc,

in a nutshell]

Aint that the truth. Incidentally, how is Sally going?

Whip,

Glad you liked these.

Jennifer,

they are addictive

Aint they just. I'd have ten if I could. Okay, ten is an exaggeration, but I'm sure you get my drift.

I have both a cat and a dog...and they get along famously...unfortunately I can't pick favorites. As an aspiring zoologist, I love all creatures great and small. (well, except for certain people and their ability to be less than civil )

Shovel,

I loved Tweety when I was a kid. But I always wanted Sylvester to catch him, even if it were just once. Same with the Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote. Just once...

Zoo,

I love dogs as well but felt I needed to represent cats. At the moment, being as we live in a flat, a dog is just out of the question.

A friend of my had a poster in his room when we were kids that showed Wile coyote with a steel grip around the roadrunners neck and the caption below it read:

BEEP BEEP, YOUR ASS!

Gotten a lot more cautious since the operation. I think she saw it as punishment for getting out. If it was so easy!

Shovel and Doc,

I had a friend who had a tshirt with Wile E. Coyote erm... sodomising the Roadrunner. The caption underneath read "Beep, beep now, you bastard." Still makes me smile when I think about it.

Serenity,

Thanks very much. I actually got a book for Christmas from my father-in-law entitled 'Cat Philosphies', but this actually comes from somewhere else. The book is wonderful, though, and has some very funny moments.
