I've been deliberating over this article, only because it is my 100th. I thought I might try writing a Maso's top 100 list, but it proved to be a lot of work (however, I have made a start and will be posting this article in the near future). The more I thought about what I might write, the more I found I couldn't decide. Instead, I thought I might put up a few photos, as I haven't really posted any before. I will apologise in advance for the poor quality of most of these. Please sit back and enjoy.
My beautiful cat, Pumpkin (yes, she is ginger and a female)
My beautiful wife and cat enjoying a tender moment together
My beautiful wife and I dressed up in our best for a very close friend's recent wedding
A view of my city, Sydney, that many of you might not have seen before. This is taken from the top of the Australian Museum building, looking across the northern side of Hyde Park to St. Mary's Cathedral. It is not a view most tourists or even locals would be able to see under normal circumstances. We were lucky to be invited to a wedding celebration in the reception room on the top floor of the museum and I really wanted to share it with you all.
Another shot of my beautiful cat. The order of household rule falls as such; the cat, my wife then me, by a long, long way. But I don't really mind. It is wonderful having two such lovely creatures boss me around LOL
This is a live shot of JC, Ryan (the DJ in the background) and myself on stage at a local venue. We've got another gig coming up at the same place at the end of this month. It is a reggaeish night and we're very much looking forward to it. Should be lots of fun. If you're a local, get down to the Cat & Fiddle Hotel on Darling Street, Balmain on Friday 23rd June. We're on stage at 10pm.
Another shot from the same gig. In this one, you can also see the lovely Adele, our vocalist/flautist/keyboard player. Ryan is hidden behind me.
Another shot from the same gig...
Yet another shot from the same gig. This one is the only one that has all four members of the band in the one shot.
Finally, a shot taken with my phone camera of my two favourite ladies.

I will certainly have a beer (or three) for you.
Have one on me, and send me the bill.

Nicky,
Thanks so much. It is liberating to put up some pictures, particularly for my friends here. Having you all know what I look like is letting you in on the final piece of the Maso puzzle. I like it...

I don't know how I missed this...great pics!
Your wife really is lovely, and it's so cool to see a photo of her after reading all about her! She is just as beautiful as you describe.
You guys looked sharp for that wedding!
Your kitty cat is cute, too. My youngest would love to get ahold of her and snuggle her mercilessly. That kid loves cats.
Thanks for sharing.

Reply By: dynamasoPosted: Tuesday, June 13, 2006Serenity,First of all, thanks for the congrats. You are one of the reasons why I'm still here.Secondly, I will make sure I pass on your words to Toni and Pumpkin. Toni had her hair straightend for a New Year Party a couple of years ago. It didn't suit her at all. The reggae night is going to be a lot of fun. It is at the same venue the photo were taken at and is a good little venue. I will certainly have a beer (or three) for you.
Cool!
reggae night
When I read these words it reminded me of a Jimmy Cliff song of the same name and brought me back to a tranquil time on the island mon!

Tex,
Thanks so much, honey. I will make sure I pass on your comments to Toni. The wedding photo is the first time I've ever worn a tuxedo. It was a theme wedding, the theme being 1920's. Toni dressed like a flapper and I was trying to do my best to look like I wore a tux all the time. We had a lot of fun that day. It is a pity the photos didn't come out as well as I hoped. I'm still getting used to the camera and still trying to find the best way to post them.
Pumpkin is my familiar and, in a lot of ways, my opposite. Where I am a tactile person, she is very much a non-tactile cat (although as she has gotten older, she has become used to Toni and I holding and petting her). She is particularly intelligent and a joy to have around. She is also a grand dame, at 12 years old and counting.
Serenity,
I know the Jimmy Cliff song you speak of - one of my favourite bands, Sublime, did a cover of it. What a great song it is, (wo)mon.

Congrats on 100!
Great pics. I really like the wedding pic and the pic of Sydney, but my favorite is the last one. It is so cool.
btw .. Just a draw against Croatia should do it. Go Socceroos!

Kelly,
ulations on 100!
Thanks so much. There are a few people here who have made my time worthwhile and keep me coming back. Just so you know, you're one of 'em. We'll definitely get to the next 100, for sure.
uDigItTheMost,
Thanks to you too. The picture of Sydney, as I said, is not one many tourists OR residents of Sydney would ever see, so I feel really priveleged to have seen it and wanted to share it with everyone. The last one is my favourite too. I would like to do a large painting of it one day. Would you believe it was taken with a phone-camera?
Just a draw against Croatia should do it.
Don't I know it. I think Harry Kewell was lucky not to be missing the game too. But thankfully, he'll be there.

Funny you said that. I told Rose (In Bloom) you should make a big painting of it. And I didn't even know you painted. Damn, I'm good.

I would like to paint but I don't have the time. I work a normal, albeit busy, job during the week. I am also a working musician with my own recording studio and a band. I write and produce most of the music and some of the lyrics for the band and look after bookings, posters and advertising and other management-type things. In between all this, I like to write fiction. Of course, as a married man, I do like to make sure I spend
some
time with my wife and with my friends. So visuals arts is very, very far down the list. Hopefully, when I retire, I will have the time to do some more painting but for now, it is more a case of gathering ideas for the future.
