Thanks to Beebles for the idea

Inspired by both DeathbyBeebles and Tova (and at both Tova and UDig's insistence), here is the next challenge for the JU Writers Club.

The idea is to write a story in 6 words.  I know it sounds like a hard thing to do (and believe me, it is).  But not everything challenging is easy.  If you want to see a few good examples, check out Beeble's post here:

http://deathbybeebles.joeuser.com/article/308581/My_Six_Word_Story

It is a tough exercise, no doubt.  But here is fair warning: if you stray beyond the word limit, you will suffer the full wrath of the Jabberwock, bwwaaaahhahahahahaa, cough, cough, ahhaahahah...  ha.

As per usual, once you've exhausted yourself creating your individual masterpieces (or is that masterpieci?), drop a link into this post so everyone else can marvel at your succinct verbosity.

Here are a few to get you started:

Spinning uncontrollably, he witnessed time passing (extra points for guessing what this is an extremely condensed version of...)

Rage inspired an anguished widow's revenge

It was either prison or the army

Left to his devices, he created

Hope everyone has a great weekend

I don't know "Ender's Game"

WTF?!?!?!? You, my friend, have never read Ender's Game?

That's unacceptable, Mark.

As soon as I get back home to the states, I'm mailing you a copy. And you will read it.

And you'll freakin' love it.

It seems to me that you're doing quite well

Wow, thanks...

I do, actually. I thought about the fact that we had done it before, but I couldn't remember who had proposed it last time. Good thing you popped by, Gene!

Now just do it more often!

Beebles,

but a wonderful statement nonetheless.

Thanks very much.

Zoo,

Simultaneously describes every story in existence

Don't it just.  Conflict; the bedrock of any decent story...

UDigit,

They leave you wanting more

Don't they just...  Now, where are yours?

I count 7 words. I hope nothing serious happens to you.

Oops, well spotted.  But you have to know, those that make the rules aren't subject to the rules.  Didn't I say that already?  How remiss of me.

Serenity,

I wrote these over on Beebles' blog

Hey, well done.  Yours are great!

Zoo,

Someone get this man a vorpal blade that goes snicker-snack!

Mine Jabberwock is under my control...  No, down boy, DOWN, NO, Arrgghhh...  (Hehehehe...)

You, my friend, have never read Ender's Game?

No, I haven't...  So many books, so little time.  And I do like a good scifi story.

I'm mailing you a copy. And you will read it.

And you'll freakin' love it.

Thanks mate.  At that recommendation, how could I not.  Looking forward to it already.

Gene,

Does anybody remember we did this last year?

I do now   Oh well, it is such a great challenge, it could do with a redux.

You're safe for the moment, good sire.

Now just do it more often!

Yes, please do...

You know me, mate I'm always late. It's not as easy as it looks.

I shouldn't say anything since mine will probably break the rules, too.

Oh, well, in that case, I will have to prepare the Jabberwock by poking him with a stick until he is salivating.  Believe me, you'll be thankful he is salivating when he has at you.  If he's not, he gets very dry from all the roaring and gnashing of teeth and you might end up stuck to the roof of his mouth.

Better very very late that never.  Thanks for participating.

.G. Wells' The Time Machine?
