Christmas this year was spent interstate with my large family. It was a first for my wife, though. Being the only child in her family, she never experienced anything quite like our rowdy, chaotic, fun Chistmas day celebrations. We stayed with one of my brothers, drank too much on Christmas eve, woke (or rather were woken) far too early on Christmas morning, opened presents (I got a new digital camera - a Pentax, no less - will post pictures in due course), then went to my sister's home for lunch and more silliness. It was all good, though.
Tonight is New Year's eve and I've been thinking about some of the resolutions I'd like to make. I don't usually make resolutions because I don't see much point. If I want to stop a bad habit or get fit or whatever, I think I should be able to decide to do it whenever I want and be disciplined enough to carry out my plans. But having said that, there are some objectives I'd like to achieve this year. I won't bother boring anyone with what they are, but lets say they're not unreasonable so I shouldn't have a problem achieving them.
I want to take the opportunity to wish everyone here a very Happy New Year and hope you all have a great celebration and start to 2007. JU is like a second home to me and it is the users here who generate this feeling. Thanks to everyone who has commented, contacted and maintained a friendship with me throughout 2006. I value what you have given me and hope to return the favour in 2007.
