Take a number and wait until you're called.

I've been really remiss in not kicking something off but I have been waiting to give someone else a chance to come up with something to inspire us all. But I realised it is now February, so I thought I'd better jump in and get us started again.

For those of you who are new or not familiar with the JU Writer's Club, it is simply a group of us here who enjoy writing. There are no rules, no fees, no competitions and no pressure. Someone will post a piece of inspiration, be it a quote, a poem, a song lyric, an idea or a picture and we write as our creativity or muse sees fit.

I am still unable to create this as a blog group and despite numerous emails to Admin, there seems to be no immediate solutions. So we're agreed we will post a link on this page back to the individual's own page. All in favour, say 'Aye'...

Right, now for the inspiration: I've been thinking about perspectives and how a lot of people don't have a lot of time for other's perspectives. I myself am fond of the idea of trying to walk in someone else's footsteps before judging them.

I propose a fictional piece, poem or whatever, based on the idea of walking in someone's else's shoes.

I do hope this inspires others as it inspires me.

I tried to walk in your shoes but, frankly, I just couldn't get past the smell.

Tova,

As you know, no pressure. I must admit it is a tough one for me too. But as it has been in my mind of late, I just had to see what others might think of or come up with. Looking forward to whatever you might put up.

Doc,

Gives me more people sho shoes I can fit into

I thought you were going to say "it means my mouth isn't always stretched to hell"

Whip,

I'd be really interested to see what you come up with. You certainly have worn many different shoes in your life. As for the Everlast song, thanks for reminding me about it. I'm going to go stick the CD on now. It has been a while since I heard it. It is a great track. Well spotted...

Mason,

Once again, you seem to know me too well. Have you got spys watching me? Or is it just that all Masons have smelly feet, huh?

I like the new avatar

Thanks mate. You know what they say about changes and holidays...

I think the best thing about JUWC is the amazing displays of talent. Some times the best things in life truly ARE free.

I promise to read when I come back on line! I think one of the poems I did mentioned walking in my shoe or something, does that count or do I write it over? Either way I'll do it another time!

Aye!!

Serenity,

does that count or do I write it over

Sure, if you want it to count. Or you could do something new. Your choice...

Aye

Mark, here's my attempt. WWW Link

I cheated though. I DIDN'T do it based on the idea of walking in someone's else's shoes. I hope it's still okay.
