Take a number and wait until you're called.

It surrounds me
Like a fine mist
So hard to see
Yet I know it exists

I walk through
This life I know
Always with
Death in tow

I’m not alone
In my mortality
There’s no predicting
When it will be me

I have this life
I’m won’t refuse
Whatever is truth
I don’t want to lose

So spare me
Your virtuous words
I continue onwards
To death, unperturbed

I continue onwards
To death, unperturbed

now, that's how you live.

As always, good stuff Maso. I'm always impressed with you.

Walking side by side with death, the devil mocks their every step...

Not yet I hope! It's good to not worry about it or be afraid of it!

Kelly,

that's how you live

Exactly. Glad you get it too.

Roy,

I'm always impressed with you

Thanks so much. Your support means a helluva lot to me, big fella.

Serenity,

Not yet I hope

Me too I've been surrounded a bit by it lately, hence this bit of therapy. Onwards, unperturbed...

I like the heroism of this attitude. I'm noticing a lot of Big Themes here, faith, life, and death. - You handle the verse very deftly.

Nice stuff here maso... reminds me of one I wrote a while back, but mine had neither the depth or breath of yours.

Ah...pointed and direct, that it is. Good show, Maso.

Buddah,

I think it was coincidental I wrote these at the same time (or maybe it was something else - cue 'Twilight Zone' music). To be honest, faith has been at the forefront of my mind lately. I'm not having doubts about mine, but I have wondered about others.

Modman,

Good to see you, mate. I'm glad you liked this too. Thanks for the link to your poem too. I like yours. It is almost a challenge to Death, "come take me, if you dare". Cool...

Zoo,

Good show, Maso.

Thanks Shaun.
