For those interested, here is a couple of shots of my latest tattoo.  I had it done on Saturday and have to say I'm very pleased with this one.  I had a different design in mind when I went in but talking to my tattooist, I discovered to have the design sized correctly would mean I would lose clarity.  I knew I wanted a sun-styled design and the possibility of having the yin yang symbol incorporated int he design pleased me no end.  I really like the reverse flames and the smoky effect he did for this.  We also discussed the next tattoo (which I will be getting in two weeks) and the background ideas I have to complete the job.

This one hurt a little more than normal because the skin on the inside of my arm is a lot more tender than where I had previous work done but, as I said before, I am very pleased with the job on the whole.

and loosing clarity is never a good thing -especially with a yingyang symbol!
(nice tat, Maso!   )

Cool.

I like it.  I might use this design on a belly painting I'm doing.  I had done one before of a sunflower with the ying yang symbol on the inside but now I'm thinking a sun would be awesome.

Tex,

Thanks... I'm particularly happy with this one. The photo doesn't really do it any justice as there is a smoky effect the tattoist has done that looks really cool. Next step is a small star to complete the Southern Cross then we move on to background.

How is your new one doing?

loosing clarity is never a good thing -

Aint that the truth, mate. My very first tattoo (and the worst) is now completely covered over. It featured a yin/yang symbol but very poorly done indeed. The new one is awesome.

Mason.

Cool

Thanks, mate. Looking forward to more, too.

Loca,

If you like, I can forward you copies of stars and suns I've researched before deciding on this one. I've got a few I can email to you. Just let me know.

Zoo,

You're a bloody legend.  Thanks very much.  I'm still having problems posting pictures but I don't know why.  I'm going to keep trying until I succeed.

Thanks again mate and I'm glad you like the new ink.

You're a bloody legend.

Well, yeah...if only the world knew that.

All I did was copy the URL click the insert image button and paste it in there...I assure you it was no trickery or witchcraft.

Not sure why it wouldn't be working for you...well, hope you figure it out.

I don't know why I'm having problems either. I did exactly the same as you and keep getting a broken link, for some reason. Oh well, I will keep trying. Thanks again, mate.
